Metropolitan Tikhon celebrates the Divine Liturgy at St. Nicholas Cathedral in Washington, DC - 03/17/13
On Sunday morning, March 17th, 2013, His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon celebrated the Divine Liturgy at Saint Nicholas Cathedral, Washington, DC on the occasion of Forgiveness Sunday. Concelebrants included Archpriests Daniel Hubiak, a former OCA Chancellor, and George Kokhno, Priests Valery Shemchuk and Maximus Urbanowicz, and Protodeacon Blagoje Siljegovic. After the Divine Liturgy, His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon with all the clergy and the faithful celebrated a service of the Forgiveness Vespers with the Rite of Forgiveness, which marks in the Orthodox Church the beginning of the journey of Great Lent.
