Great & Holy Week with His Beatitude - 04/27/19

During Great & Holy Week, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon celebrated the Divine Services at various parishes of the Archdiocese of Washington.


Anniversary of His Beatitude's Monastic Tonsure - 04/07/19

His Beatitude celebrated the 4th Sunday of Great Lent at St Nicholas Cathedral. The commemoration of the repose of Saint Tikhon of Moscow, His Beatitude's patron saint, was also celebrated yesterday. April 7 is also the anniversary of His Beatitude's monastic tonsure. 


Divine Liturgy at St. Nicholas Cathedral - 02/24/19

Archdiocesan Council Meeting - 02/23/19

On Saturday, February 23 a meeting of the Archdiocesan Council, presided over by His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon, was held at St. Nicholas Cathedral in Washington DC.


Tenebrae Concert at St. Nicholas - 02/22/19

On Friday, February 22 at 7:30 p.m St. Nicholas Cathedral in Washington, DC hosted a spectacular evening of music by the St Vladimir’s Seminary Chorale. Tenebrae: Music of Holy Week from East & West.


March For Life - 01/18/19

His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon, together with other OCA hierarchs, clergy, seminarians and faithful, participated in the annual March for Life in Washington, DC on Friday, January 18.  The march is a pro-life rally protesting abortion, held in the nation's capital near the anniversary of the infamous decision in the United States Supreme Court case Roe v. Wade. Joining the OCA Bishops for the prayer service for the unborn were His Grace the Right Reverend Thomas of the Antiochian Archdiocese and Alexander Azar, Secretary of Health and Human Services. 


Old Calendar Nativity at St. Nicholas Cathedral - 01/07/19

On Monday, January 7, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon led the Old Calendar celebration of the Nativity of Christ at St. Nicholas Cathedral in Washington, DC.

On Sunday, January 6, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon led the celebration of Theophany at St. Matthew Orthodox Church in Columbia, MD.


2018 Archdiocesan Assembly - 09/29/18

On Saturday, September 29th, clergy and faithful from the Archdiocese of Washington gathered under the leadership of His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon for their annual assembly, hosted this year at St. Mark Orthodox Church in Bethesda, Maryland.
