Feast of the Universal Exaltation of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross

Join us as the clergy and faithful of the Archdiocese of Washington gather to celebrate the Feast of the Universal Exaltation of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross at Saint Nicholas Cathedral in Washington, DC. 

On Wednesday, September 13, at 7 pm, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon will celebrate the hierarchical Festal Vigil. Archdiocesan clergy are invited to serve. His Beatitude will perform the Rite of Exaltation of the Holy Cross during the vigil. The Archdiocesan Choir will sing the responses. On Thursday, September 14, at 9 am, His Beatitude will serve the hierarchical Divine Liturgy. Archdiocesan clergy are also welcome to serve for the Divine Liturgy. Responses will be sung by the cathedral choir.
