The Enthronement of His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon as Primate of the Orthodox Church in America will be celebrated at Saint Nicholas Cathedral, Washington, DC, on the weekend of January 26-27, 2013.

On Saturday, January 26, the Vigil will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m.

On Sunday, January 27, the Divine Liturgy, followed by the Rite of Enthronement, will begin at 9:00 a.m.

A banquet will be held at the Omni Shoreham, 2500 Calvert Street NW (at Connecticut Ave.), Washington, DC. A reception will be held at 2:00 p.m., followed by dinner in the Regency Ballroom at 3:00 p.m.

Banquet reservations and menu selection (meat/fish) should be emailed to enthronement@oca.org. Tickets are $100.00 per person. Deadline for reservations is January 14.  Payments for reservations can be made by check or credit card.  By check: make your check out to Orthodox Church in America with "ATTN: Banquet" in the memo line and send it to:

Announcements

On Wednesday, March 19, at 6 pm, the clergy and faithful of the Archdiocese of Washington will join His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon and the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Orthodox Church in America for the celebration of the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts at St. Nicholas Cathedral in Washington, DC. His Beatitude's own Archdiocesan Choir, under the direction of Matushka Juliana Woodill, will sing the responses. The cathedral is located at 3500 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington, DC, 20007. Street parking is available.

All are welcome to attend!
