ARCHDIOCESE OF WASHINGTON, D.C.
Orthodox Church in America
Missions Chair Visits Christ the Savior, Berlin, MD

On the Sunday of the Cross, March 23rd, the Christ the Savior Mission in Berlin, MD, welcomed Archpriest Mark Koczak, chairman of the Missions Board for the Archdiocese of Washington. Some 93 people gathered to worship the Lord and venerate His precious and life-creating Cross, singing the hymn: "Before Thy Cross, we bow down in worship, O Master, and Thy holy resurrection we praise and glorify!"

This was Fr. Mark's fourth visit to the Mission and his first on a Sunday. After leading the faithful in worship and delivering the homily, Fr. Mark spoke with members of the Mission during the fellowship hour. Serving with Fr. Mark were Protopresbyter Daniel Hubiak, founder of the Mission, and Priest John Parsells, the current rector.
