On Friday, February 22 at 7:30 p.m St. Nicholas Cathedral in Washington, DC hosted a spectacular evening of music by the St Vladimir’s Seminary Chorale. Tenebrae: Music of Holy Week from East & West.
The concert takes its name from a candlelit Holy Week service from the Western Christian tradition (tenebrae means “darkness” in Latin). The evening was an inspiring look ahead to the solemn Lenten journey, the cross, and the empty tomb.
A reception followed with wine and light hors d’ouvres. Books and CDs were available for purchase from SVS Press. The concert helped raise funds for St. Vladimir’s seminarians.
