Orthodox Church in America
Composition Submissions

Call for compositions! We are looking for music from Great Vespers & Divine Liturgy for our first concert. The hope is that you will browse your portfolio of already composed music and select your top 5 (or fewer) hymns for consideration. Composers will be compensated for all music performed. The goal is to select music that can be sung well by a diverse range of musical abilities and experience. Additionally, it will be made available on the Seraphim Six website (, and you will have the opportunity to work with that publishing company to host other compositions as well.

About the Archdiocese

The Archdiocese of the Washington, D.C. is part of the Orthodox Church in America, which is the local presence of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church established by Jesus Christ and faithfully transmitted through her Scriptures, worship and prayer life, and through the teachings of the Holy Fathers.

The Orthodox Faith maintains unbroken continuity with the Apostolic Faith; embraces all languages, cultures, and races; and calls all to "come and see." Please join us in worship and fellowship.

The Mission of The Orthodox Church in America, the local autocephalous Orthodox Christian Church, is to be faithful in fulfilling the commandment of Christ to “Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…”
