Great & Holy Week with His Beatitude

After celebrating the Divine Liturgy for the Raising of Lazarus at Three Hierarchs Chapel at Saint Vladimir’s Seminary, Yonkers, NY, on April 20, 2019, His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon, traveled to Saint Tikhon’s Monastery, South Canaan, PA, where he presided at services marking the Great Feast of the Entrance of Our Lord into Jerusalem and the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts on Great and Holy Monday.  Later that evening, he celebrated Bridegroom Matins at Saint Catherine Church, Hagerstown, MD.

On Great and Holy Tuesday, His Beatitude visited All Saints of North America Mission, Alexandria, VA, where he presided at the celebration of Bridegroom Matins.  He celebrated the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts at Saint Luke Church, McLean, VA on Great and Holy Wednesday and the Vesperal Divine Liturgy on the morning of Great and Holy Thursday at Saint Matthew Church, Columbia, MD.

Metropolitan Tikhon will celebrate Matins with the reading of the Passion Gospels at Saint Mark Church, Bethesda, MD on the evening of Great and Holy Thursday and the Royal Hours at Saint Andrew Church, Baltimore, MD on Great, Holy and Good Friday.

His Beatitude will celebrate the reminder of the services of Great, Holy and Good Friday; Great and Holy Saturday; and Holy Pascha Nocturns, Matins, Divine Liturgy and Vespers at Saint Nicholas Cathedral, Washington, DC.
