Metropolitan Tikhon Serves the Divine Liturgy at the new Fairfax Mission Station

Metropolitan Tikhon served the second ever Sunday Divine Liturgy at the new Fairfax Mission Station.  This Mission Station was started in October 2018 as a result of a demographic study that showed an 'underserved area' in southwest Fairfax County, VA.  Thanks to the grace of God, dedicated clergy and choir director, and the generosity of the Catholic Church which has lent us the use of one of their churches -- the Mission Station has been thriving.  Until last month  it has mainly been serving Saturday Vespers, with average attendance around 20 or so, with a high of 43.  But starting this August, it has begun serving one Sunday Divine Liturgy per month.  It was blessed, honored and thrilled to have His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon serve its second ever Sunday Divine Liturgy on Sep. 29 -- the second of many more to come!
